Tried my hand at taking some artistic shots while out checking one of our heritage spots.

What do you think?

Michelle @ 7:43 PM |

Work's been busy, am so tired!

Thank goodness, I managed to get my kakis to watch movies with me and chill out with some of my rather cheeky colleagues.

Just this week, I renewed my friendship with a friend of mine whom I have not contacted for more than a year. Due to some work problems.. I refused to have anything to do with people that I dont think it was worth my time.

Anyhow, I am glad I made the first move to make contact with him. Of course after the inital awkwardness like " I thought you fell off the surface of the earth " Blah blah.. things got back to normal.

Anyhow, if u are interested on how i de-stressed read on..

I Went for a facial yesterday.
Damn it! It was the most painful experience ever can! All because of my blackheads. I just learnt from my beautician that if you keep cleaning the face without having to moisturise it (sometimes I am so lazy even though I have got amillion and one products at the vanity table) You develop more blackheads and pores are more clogged up - I did not know that! *gasp*

I spent a good 2 hours at the clinque and she also gave me a upper shoulder massage - damn heavenly!

After that, I went to a jeweller's! Haha! Spent money again.. can't resist the tourmaline chandelier earrings. I shall not divulge how much that cost me but suffice for you to know that the earrings comes A class after service. I even got my 2 carat Yellow Sapphire Ring a little shine ( And I kept looking at it because it is just so shiny!!!!) - Free of charge!

I feel happy with my purchase even though it burnt a huge hole in my pocket - yes I am sadist or maybe I am plain jealous and trying to imitate daffy teo...

Went back home and concussed on bed after two panadols and the stupid headache did not leave me until the wee hours of the morning when I was supposed to go back to work.

I went for a movie
Yesterday was slightly better than the day before. Thank heavens! I also indulge myself in a little entertainment -I went to watch BAtman with my gf after work!

BAtman : was darn exciting!
It speaks of Bruce Wayne and the events that lead him to strengthen his resolve to become one- Most of the action are in the last 1/2 of the movie so be patient. BUt I like the storyline.

What's more I was pleasantly surprised that it being my first BAtman movie.. I enjoyed it so damn much!

I went back home and slept early.

This Friday..I am going to watch WAr of the WorldS!
WAtch for my review if you want to. haha Slowly wait hor !

Next week.. I might be going overseas with my bf to celebrate his impending birthday!

YAY!

I watched the movie last night and it made me feel like a teeny bopper.
God! I cannot imagine the hordes of teenagers I encountered in the cinema. But I cant say much about them, after all I was worse than them, When Aaron Kwok was in town. *throat went dry*

It was a movie I wanted to watch the moment I knew they were making it. I watched the Anime series, Initial D Stage 1 to 4 till the latest episodes 14. And although there is nothing much except the racing of various fierce cars, I was kept on the edge of my bed ( Yes, I watched the anime series in bed) clutching my bolster, occassionally sitting up in excitement and suddenly proclaimation of "Way to Go Takumi!"

To say the least, I had huge expectation of the movie. After all, it is adapted from my favourite anime series!

I protested when they starred Jay Chou as the Lead Character. I do not like Jay Chou. I originally wanted Edison Chen to be the Lead Character - but he acted as somebody else in the movie *mutters*

The Movie has changed the story plot somewhat. You dont get to see the S13, Relationship between the petrol kiosk owner and one of Takumi's friend (Itsuki) become father and son.. other than that, the story is quite the same.

I find the chemistry between the actors lacking. Or is that due to the dubbing?
I dont find that the relationship between Natsumi and Takimi as sizzling as I did in the anime series. I do not find the racing scenes at all gripping.

Most of the time in the cinema, I was kept entertained by the antics of Wong Chou seng, who acted as Takimi's retired racer father Bunta, Kenny Bee who acted as the petrol kiosk owner and Itsumi ( acted by another Hongkong actor whom I shamelessly admit I do not know his name).

It was good comic relief for me after my very hectic one week.

However, in other aspects, I find that this movie is not very much worth the $9.50 it cost me.

I rather watch the anime series.

Have you ever wonder who ever visits your blog?

Well yea.. to those of you who thinks that your blog is only viewable by friends whom you have published your address to.. then I think its time to wake up to reality.

More often than not, we pass on blog addresses faster than we order a bowl of cheng tng.

There were days before I started this blog, I would pester a friend of mine when I was extremely bored " Oi, any nice blogs anot?"

And he would flood my msn messengers with addresses to different blogs. I would go cyber snoop. I say cyber snoop instead of read, because ultimately you are snooping on somebody else's life - aint you ( When you are reading his/her online journal)?

Then i would always try to justify myself by saying that the person who posted the entry onto her blog actually wanted people to read it that's why it is being posted.
Agreed?

Somehow, if that is so, then why do people say online journal equates to having an online diary? Do you write a diary only to pass it around and let somebody else read sordid details of what you have done blow by blow? No right?

If that is the case, then those people who are writing blogs - do they really write things that they really felt strongly about or was it just a farce? They highly censor the details of what they actually feel, experience?

Therefore I really find it refreshing when I come across very honest blog entries like those submitted by XiaXue on her "Why are you worshipping the ground I blog on?" and those quirky yet blatantly honest ones by Mr. Miyagi and Mr. Brown.

How many parents in the world would like the world to know that they have a not so normal child? I have had first hand experience of how a parent seemingly locked up her son who is a year younger than me in her HDB flat, because he is a slow learner and goes to a special school.

Unless the person who is blogging can come to terms that his/her privacy is being evaded the moment he/she post an entry, that person can never write a truely touching and attention grabbing entry. After all a censored movie can never have the same effect on the audience as an uncensored one right?

Someone asked me why I havent blog for such a long time.
Not long.. only 4 days of absence and I have been sorely missed... that kinda boosted my ego only. *ahem*

Anyway.. a friend of mine would be leaving for Perth soon.. I wish her best of luck and may she find happiness living there. ( Yes Aerdna! Please buy me presents! haha!)

Been busy havent really met up with her also.. last time she wanted to meet me, she did not arranged even though she came to somewhere really near my place. Now want to meet, she only days away from flying away.. probably not coming back in the near future. *sob*

In case you think why she is not coming back.. let me tell you this. Aerdna have married her very dashing husband not too long ago and she's going there to join him. No lar.. she is not SPG! she is Chinese and he is Chinese too. He got posted there and is going there to accompany him! Ah that's the difference.

Not everybody is so lucky like her hor! So Aerdna must treasure! dont bully your lao gong!!!!

Bon voyage and......
remember my presents!!!!!

haha! ;P

Hello Everybody its me, Coco again!
What a cold morning!

I had such great fun blogging yesterday, I asked for permission to blog again today!

Today I am going to show you doggy fashion show!
That's a picture of me in my Bumble Bee attire.
My owner always laugh happily whenever I wear this attire.
I think that is because I am so pretty and sweet in it.
She calls me princess sometimes.

Since its doggy fashion show, I also must dress to the nines right?
I don my south-china Sea pearl necklace, so atas looking right.
Oh yes, I saw one girl whose blog shows her going out with pearl necklace everytime, so wearing Pearls must be in now. I must keep a mind to keep wearing pearls when I go for car rides nowadays.

A princess ought to look like a princess, with all her jewellery right!

A close up of my pearls... nice anot?!
They are a tad heavy, but as long as i look pretty, I dont mind the weight.
Oh, that's my doggy tag. My Owner made it for me in Sydney Australia. Didi has a similar one too. His is blue in color, mine's orange just the way i like it.

Ohhhh... this is a photograph of my birthday present this year. From my mummy doggy's owner, she bought this modern pink trenchcoat from Hongkong for me. All my other siblings got one too. But only mine is pink. I love pink, red and orange colors. They make me look so beautiful!

Another picture of me in my pink trenchcoat, before I changed into my latest collection from Japan!

Tada! My latest addition in my wardrobe. Bought from Japan during Mummy's trip to Japan two months ago. Its a raincoat. Suitable for walks on days like this. Complete with a cape too!

It is reversible, but the other side is some army camouflage print. I dont like it. so I did not want to show you. didi also got a similar one. Yellow in color!

Now now now, If I am going for a grand dinner, I would wear my minnie mouse inspired dress. so pretty right.. complete with my Pearl necklace. My owner wanted to buy me diamantes collar- just like Paris hilton's chihuahua, but I find it too gaudy. Pearls are more sophisicated- just like me! *giggles*

.

Okie, one last picture of me in my minnie dress before i change out.
Looks like my hairdo is a bit long, it covers my necklace.. must pester owner to bring me for a saloon trip soon!

Last but not least, I also have a very nice traditional Chinese attire. Just suitable for a chinese wedding or for chinese new year. Lots of ang baos guaranteed -If you look twice as good as I do in my clothes. Owner's youngest sister bought this for me, during her trip to hongkong earlier this year. Didi have a similar one in red.

.

Nice right?

Here is Didi Wangwang in his Cowboy attire from Hongkong and him in the Similar Cheongsam attire in red. He is so cute too right.

.

But I still think I am more photogenic.

There are more clothes. Like my Man Utd Jersey, my Yellow Rugby top, my Osh gosh by kosh purple tees, lots of them.. too much of a hassle to change and take pictures of them.. So.. I hope you enjoy my little fashion show.. till then.

Paws out.

Ong big bowl of Ching Teng, very sweet, very yummy.. very nice.... *slurps*

Michelle @ 9:36 PM |

Good Morning! My name is Coco and I am blogging today!
My owner needs to do housework today and bathe the smelly hamsters.
Well, I just woke up that's why you caught me yawning! Hmm...my owner is preparing Breakfast for me and my brother..must sit and wait.

My owner always want us to sit and behave before she gives us our food. So here I am sitting and looking pretty for breakfast.

Breakfast was delicious. Owner's sister still sleeping, so i shall join her in her nap. I dont disturb my owner after breakfast because she is reading newspapers. So let me nap first. Oh you want to see my brother?

There he is. His name is WAngwang. He looks messier because he screams everytime my owner combs his hair. That's why I always look so pretty. I like to dress up but he doesn't.

Aiya! why you wake me up? What you want now?? grrrrr You want to see my brother again? Because you think he is lost? Okay let me sniff him out.. *sniff sniff*

I know where he is already.. follow me

There he is under mummy and daddy's bed. *Coco disappears*
Wangwang: Oi! Why sister you wake me up! I want to sleep ley. What? Sister wants me to blog for her?! I don't want! I dont like to blog and owner dont want to play yet she is busy. she is still reading papers. Let me sleep let me sleep..... *whines*

Wangwang: Sister say she blog today right.. okie I go find her... how can she not fulfill her promise to blog today... *mumble mumble*

Wah! she sleeping on her pillow! Looking so comfortable... I want to sleep also.
Sister wake up wake up (so that I may take over your pillow). You must fulfil your promise and let them know what goes on in the life of a doggy hor..you cannot play cheat one!

Coco: okie lar..what else you want to know?
Oh When owner finishes reading her papers and eating her breakfast, we would play fetch ball with her or she would play tickle with me. Let me show you something...

Haha! my favourite toy. My owner gave it to me when I was barely 1 year old. He is my Pooh-pooh. Hee! Unfortunately I bit his nose out when i was teething. So he doesnt have a nose now. But I stil sleep with him everyday.

Hmm.. owner still busy. Mummy also busy. So we lie here waiting for owner to finish her housework... We are lucky, dont get to do housework. housework is tough work you know.

Ah-ha! Owner has completed her housework already and carried both of us for a photo shoot! there you go!! see I am so pretty right!

Okie owner is free, gotta go play with her again. So people, that's all for now. I did not know blogging is such hardwork!

bye!!

I was awaken by 9.30 am this morning, despite only venturing to bed at 2.30 am in the morning. 7 hours of sleep already so well, no complaints.

Since I'm still on holidays, and I had nothing to do after feeding and scratching my dogs, I had to venture into the cyberspace and see if there's anybody as bored and aimless as me. alas nobody seems to be online. so i did what I did best, cyber snooping on other bloggers.

Click after another I stumbled onto this plain blog, made beautiful by the numerous amazing pictures of gastronomical desires - food.

I had to send an email to him, asking him which camera did he used in order to achieve those quality pictures. Of course, his skills also play a huge part in getting the effect. Anyhow, I hope i did not harm his ego too much when i asked him which camera produces such beautiful pictures without the tiniest mention about his superb photography skills. *blush*

Then I read on and realise....
OMG! He is a photographer! Argh! *bangs wall*

Anyway, I cannot help but marvel at the numerous posts on food ( and its pictures) it is almost an online guide on where to get good food.

Go read but i warn.. go on a full stomach else you would be hungry very very soon. http://www.hungryhungryhungry.blogspot.com/

All photos below are taken by me. An amatuerish attempt at taking beautiful pictures using point and shoot cameras. Nothing fancy. Most pictures are taken using my Canon Ixus 430 in auto mode.

Of course, it takes many shots before you get the perfect one.

I think these are perfect. Enjoy~

1. Sunrise in Singapore. time: 6.30 am +/-

Woke up specially at 6 am to wait for this splendid moment. Was it worth it? When I look at the picture I think so. ^.^

2. Sunset in Sentosa, singapore. Time: 5-ish - 7 pm.

Took them during a picnic with a friend @ Sentosa.

3. SunSet @ Pattaya, Thailand.

I think this is a postcard worth picture. Love it to bits =)

Michelle @ 11:49 PM |

Ah... I guess must be the hangover from the bangkok shopping spree, (Or the lack thereof =X) I am craving for more things! arh.. but somehow when i look at my depressing bank account, I dont think i can afford any of such luxuries at the moment.

How unfortunate can I be? Want to spend but cannot spend.
Anyhow, I resigned myself to my fate. I am not one of those Ata-kias who can thick skinnedly go ask daddy for $2500 in cold hard cash for a Chanel Bag loh.

I am normal loh.
So I can only wish I can get my hands on one of these.

1. Nokia 7610
Actually I have been dying to change my handphone for along time now. But been shopping around. Last time I almost bought this phone, I splurged the money on a pc of jade necklace for my mother's birthday - she blatantly tell me she dont like it. Instead she prefers to have my ammonite pendant which costs only a small fraction of what the jade necklace did to my pocket! *sigh* Anyone wants to sponser me?

2. Che-Ez! Fox 3 Hello Kitty 3.2 Megapixel Digicam

Perhaps it is due to the numerous times I have visited xiaxue's blog. I suddenly become addicted to pink and all things pink. I am dying for one of these. Cost only $299 at Tangs Level 3, buy one for me?! My spiffy Canon Ixus 430 have died on me. And I so need to replace it with something else.

Also this camera looks so much like a toy, I am sure if i were to bring it to one of my holidays escapades, nobody would want to pay much attention to a toy. so I wont be blacklisted by the locals and I can bring more beautiful photographs back to you?!

3. Le Coq Sportif Pig-skin Slip-ons
Even though I have gotten myself a pair of Le coq Sportif Shoes, it is still not the all pig skin slip-ons I wanted which cost $130. So i am still hungry for more. Look at this one, aint it funky? Love it! I don tknow how much it cost, but its one of the newer designs that have yet to hit the stores! Get it for me, pretty please.....

*Sigh*
Unfortunately, I haven't got the kind of readership like fellow singaporean blogger xiaxue, who just lived a stone's throw away from where I do live, so i cannot cyber beg my readers to donate $1 each so that I would be $1 nearer to my dreams.

What to do, I am a normal Singaporean. =)
I just gotta do what others do, either steal or work hard and save for it.
Damnit!

*grinz* Let me digress...

Something weird happened to me today. I received a fat Silvery envelope. I wonder what it is. so I opened it up. And realised that....

It is a blardy application for PLATINUM card!

Wah lao.. they (the bank) all see me damn up can. Last year I got an invitation to apply for the NUS Alumni GOLD Card, this year I got the OCBC one and now PLATINUM card. Liew I damn touched ley! *thank you thank you * *curtsies*

I wish I can. If I could, I would probably apply for PLATINUM AMERICAN EXPRESS lor. Most ATAS wad! But I am NORMAL, so no such luck...

Well, regrets make you want to live your life to the fullest and make you smarter, at least i do hope I am smarter.

If only, I did not quit my first job, probably I would be 1/2 way there to a platinum card. Who wouldnt be with 3 months bonus and performance bonus in April.. every year - provided I stayed in the job for 4 years. I probably be in middle management or senior management already... by now.

Then again, I probably not be happy at all and lead a lonely sullen life - just like my direct superior, that vice-president *coughcough*w(b)itch*coughcough*.

Well, the good news is while im still poor and unable to afford an atas life, I am happy and is very contented with my life no matter how inadequate materialistically.

So if you were to ask me to go back in time and choose it all over again, I would gladly take the same untroden path of kissing a fat paying cheque away so that I have and am what I am today.

Some people might not agree with me, and think that it is dumb to be kissing money away. Afterall money enables you to have everything right?

Yes, but not everything. If slogging your life away without spending time with your family members is worth it, please go ahead. you choose your life I choose mine.

IMHO, time spent with family & friends is priceless and I wouldn't trade the world for it. ;)
